What this site collects

This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Two things do happen:

  • If you send a consultation request, we receive the details you typed into the form: your name, your email address, and — if you chose to give them — your company, your phone number, the subject area and your message.
  • If you switch the site between the light and dark theme, that choice is stored in your own browser (in local storage, not a cookie) so the site remembers it. It never leaves your device and we never see it.

Server logs

Our hosting provider records standard server logs when a page is requested — IP address, time, the page requested, and the browser identifier. These exist to keep the site running and secure. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR in operating a functioning, secure website.

Why we process consultation requests

We use what you send us solely to answer your request and, where it leads somewhere, to prepare an engagement. The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, given by the checkbox on the form, together with Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for steps taken at your request before a contract.

We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not pass them to anyone for their own purposes.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted once the matter is closed and no longer than two years after our last exchange. Where an engagement follows, the statutory retention periods for business and accounting records apply.

Who else sees it

Our hosting provider processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Beyond that, we disclose personal data only where the law requires it.

Typefaces on this site are delivered by Google Fonts. Loading them means your browser contacts a Google server, and your IP address is transmitted there, which may involve a transfer outside the EU. See the note at the foot of this page.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may ask us to:

  • confirm what personal data of yours we hold, and give you a copy;
  • correct anything inaccurate, or complete anything incomplete;
  • erase your data, where no legal duty requires us to keep it;
  • restrict how we process it, or object to processing based on legitimate interest;
  • hand your data to you, or to another controller, in a portable form;
  • withdraw your consent at any time — which does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.

Complaints

If you believe we have handled your data unlawfully, you may complain to the Czech supervisory authority: Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Praha 7, uoou.gov.cz. You may also complain to the authority where you live or work.
